Battles are fought in standard 7v7 format with a fixed map pool. Players join teams to compete with others for a shared prize pool. There is no repair cost in this game mode, and ammo (including premium), consumables, and provisions are free. This game mode is meant for practice only, and to avoid abuse, players do not earn credits or experience from playing in this game mode. In this game mode, players can choose the map and battle type, as well as control who can play in the battle. The following game modes are regularly available, though some are available on a regular off-and-on basis. Losing points does not usually affect your team's chances of winning very much, though it can decide the turnout in the last few seconds of the battle. Points can also be lost, which happens when a friendly tank is destroyed or a friendly base is captured. Point are gained by holding bases, and the more bases you have, the faster your team gets points. Supremacy is won when all enemies are destroyed or your team has 1,000 points. Three or four bases spawn on the map, and each can be captured in a similar way to the single base in Encounter Battles, though their capture rate is much faster. Only available to tanks of Tier V and up (though sometimes Tier IV tanks are allowed if they are in a platoon with a Tier V tank), the Supremacy game mode differs from Encounter Battles with its multiple bases. The capture counter resets if the tank in the circle is damaged or if a tank leaves the circle, and pauses if an enemy enters the circle. The base is captured after a tank is inside the circle for a 100 seconds (less if there are several friendly tanks in the circle).
Encounter Battles can be won in two ways, either by destroying all enemies or capturing the base. Two teams fight for control over a single base. This is considered the main battle type of WoTB. Most game modes have two different battle types:
